AXA bid battle has a way to run yet

The fulcrum of the battle for AXA Asia-Pacific is the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's decision next month about whether a NAB takeover or a renewed AMP takeover of the group is acceptable and, if so, on what terms, but the profit result that AXA released yesterday was another important milestone.
